Our Story of Hope

33+ years of unwavering commitment to children and families across Maharashtra

What Drives Us Every Day

Our mission is rooted in the belief that every child deserves safety, love, education, and a family.

Our Mission

To provide a loving, safe, and nurturing environment for abandoned children and vulnerable women — and to connect them with families who will cherish them forever.

Our Vision

A society where no child grows up without love, care, and opportunity — where every family is complete and every child has a home to call their own.

Our Values

Compassion, transparency, dignity, and inclusion guide everything we do — from the way we care for children to how we work with families and donors.

A Vision Born from Compassion

Mr. Khadiwale Vaidya, a distinguished Ayurveda practitioner and dedicated philanthropist, founded Adhar Charitable Trust over three decades ago driven by a simple yet powerful belief — that every human being deserves dignity, care, and love.

What began with humble initiatives like a Poli Bhaji Kendra (community food centre) and a small daycare centre in Pune's Nigdi area, grew into a full-fledged charitable trust that has transformed hundreds of lives across Maharashtra and beyond.

Witnessing the suffering of abandoned children and vulnerable women, Mr. Vaidya channelled his resources and passion into building an organisation that would not just provide shelter — but restore hope, rebuild futures, and reunite hearts.

Today, the Khadiwale family continues to personally oversee the trust, ensuring that its founding values of compassion, transparency, and love remain at the heart of everything Adhar does.
